“Fixing 8-person multi-mic crosstalk in an echoey glass penthouse under 48-hour turnarounds.”
The shoot took place in an aesthetically stunning modern penthouse with high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. With 8 contestants talking, laughing, and whispering simultaneously, the raw audio had severe flutter echo, overlapping bleed across every wireless lapel mic, and sudden loud bursts that caused harsh digital clipping.
Episodes aired without a single audio complaint from over 6 million viewers. Average watch duration jumped 34% compared to pilot episodes, and the production team adopted AMITY’s on-set gain staging guidelines for subsequent seasons.

The handheld dynamic microphone was picking up almost as much audience laughter and air conditioner rumble as the comedian’s voice. OTT streaming platforms rejected the initial rough cut due to high dynamic variance and low speech intelligibility.
